Speaking on Business: Salt Lake City International Airport

This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. Salt Lake City International Airport is the 23rd busiest airport in the United States and 86th busiest in the world. With over 330 daily flights to 100 nonstop destinations, it continues to grow rapidly. Executive Director, Bill Wyatt, joins us with more.

Bill Wyatt:

Almost five years ago, Salt Lake City unveiled the first phase of The New SLC Airport and each fall has opened more gates, shops and restaurants, including the central tunnel connecting A and B concourses. Since opening, The New SLC has been recognized nationally with numerous awards and accolades, including 2nd place by USA Today readers for Best Airport Dining.

More gates mean we can attract new airlines and offer more flights to more destinations — domestically and internationally. This June, Delta began nonstop service to Seoul, South Korea, opening access to Asia.

With only two years of construction left, we are on our Final Approach and this October will unveil 10 more gates and 6 new concessions — featuring local favorites like Aubergine Kitchen, Monarca and a Utah National Parks store — along with a second sensory room.

We look forward to welcoming you to SLC this summer and invite you to learn more at SLCAirport.com.

Serving millions annually, it makes travel easy and keeps growing to provide more destinations and better experiences for passengers.
