This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. For over 100 years, United Way of Salt Lake has served and strengthened the greater Salt Lake Community. Through partnerships and programs, United Way is creating lasting social change on some of the toughest challenges we face. Vice President of Donor Engagement, Adrienne Smith, joins us with more.
Adrienne Smith:
United Way of Salt Lake is dedicated to building a community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. We work with businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to tackle the root causes of challenges facing our community. Our focus is on ensuring children are school-ready, families are financially stable, and everyone has access to quality healthcare.
One of the programs we support is the Promise Partnership, which unites schools, businesses, and community organizations to support students from cradle to career. By providing resources, we help students achieve academic success and prepare for a bright future.
We also offer the 2-1-1 information and referral service, connecting individuals and families to basic needs such as housing, food, and employment assistance, to improve financial and physical stability.
Through these efforts, United Way of Salt Lake is making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and families. Join us in creating a stronger, more equitable community.
