December 2, 2025 – Tara Baucom, director of events and programs for the Salt Lake Chamber, has been named to the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) 2025 Forty Under 40 list of emerging leaders shaping the chamber of commerce industry.
This annual recognition program showcases 40 of the industry’s top emerging leaders who have demonstrated success in their careers and made significant contributions to the communities they serve. The list includes CEOs and staff professionals from a wide variety of roles and chamber sizes. Honored for their creativity, dedication and commitment to identifying innovative solutions that will help shape the future of the chamber profession.

ACCE has over 1,600 chambers of commerce and related business and economic development organizations as members, representing more than 9,000 professionals in the industry.
Eligible chamber professionals must be nominated by their chamber’s president/CEO, direct supervisor or board chair. Candidates must demonstrate meaningful involvement in the advancement of their community and proven professional success within their chamber.
Tara Baucom is a talented event and program leader with a passion for creating memorable experiences for all participants. Since joining the Salt Lake Chamber in 2016, she has used her expertise to plan and execute a wide range of events and programs, including Giant in Our City, Women & Business Conference and ATHENA Awards Luncheon, Utah Economic Outlook & Public Policy Summit and Leadership Utah, among many others. Additionally, she oversees the following committees: President’s Ambassadors, Military Affairs and Business Women’s Forum.
A dedicated professional, Tara has a track record of making each event and program more successful and enjoyable than the last. Her leadership, organization, creative touch and attention to detail are all part of what make her so successful.
Outside of her work with the Salt Lake Chamber, she runs a small dog-sitting business. A lifelong Utah resident, she loves spending time outdoors and enjoys running with her two pups. Tara hopes to one day travel the world and continue exploring new places.
