Today, the Salt Lake Chamber announced University of Utah Impact Scholar and best-selling author Dr. Arthur Brooks as the keynote speaker at this year’s Annual Meeting. In his keynote, “Leadership and Happiness in a Time of Rapid Change,” Dr. Brooks will share actionable insights on how leaders can cultivate happiness, resilience and purpose — both personally and professionally. His guidance will challenge us to see success not only as an achievement, but as a pathway to deeper well-being.

Dr. Brooks serves as an impact scholar at the University of Utah and is a professor at both the Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School, where he teaches courses on leadership and happiness. He is also a columnist at The Atlantic, where he writes the popular weekly column “How to Build a Life.”
A #1 New York Times best-selling author of 15 books, including “Build the Life You Want” in 2023, coauthored with Oprah Winfrey, and “From Strength to Strength: Finding Success, Happiness and Deep Purpose in the Second Half of Life,” Dr. Brooks is recognized worldwide as one of the leading experts on the science of human happiness. He has appeared across major media and traveled the world to teach people in private companies, universities, public agencies and faith communities how they can live happier lives and bring greater well-being to others.
