Altabank Hosts Four American Red Cross Blood Drives Across Utah on a Single Day

Join the lifesaving effort by donating blood at Altabank branches in St. George, Pleasant Grove, Riverton and North Logan on Monday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Utah-based Altabank is partnering with the American Red Cross of Utah to make a meaningful impact across the state. On Monday, May 5, four Altabank branches from North Logan to St. George will host blood drives to encourage customers and community members to come together and support this vital effort to provide lifesaving blood for those in need.

The initiative highlights Altabank’s commitment to community service and provides a crucial opportunity for Utahns to contribute to the health and well-being of others. With the constant need for blood donations, these drives are critical to ensure hospitals have the resources they need to serve patients.

“We are thrilled to team up with Altabank to raise awareness about the vital need for blood donation across our state,” said Benjamin Donner, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Chapter. “Altabank’s dedication to hosting these blood drives demonstrates their strong commitment to supporting community health and well-being.”

Spotlight on Dedication

The drives are spearheaded by Altabank’s Community Reinvestment Act Coordinator, Bob Wright, whose personal commitment to blood donation spans over four decades. Since his first donation in 1982, Wright has consistently donated blood four times per year, bringing him close to the inspiring milestone of 20 gallons donated.

“The blood drives are just one example of how our bank is giving back to the communities we serve,” Wright said. “At Altabank, we encourage our employees and customers to get involved and support the people around them in meaningful ways.”
