Becker’s Hospital Review has named Intermountain Health to its list of Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare for 2023.
The healthcare publication ranks health systems and hospitals across the nation annually using a wide range of factors including work-life balance, professional development, and benefits packages.
In an article on the Top 150 Places Work in the Healthcare for 2023, Becker’s noted that Intermountain Health caregivers embody the health system’s mission of helping people live the heathiest lives possible.
“Our teams have been on a journey to improve the caregiver experience over the past five years and this award is a testament of the work we’ve put in to create the best possible environment for our caregivers,” said Heather Brace, chief people officer at Intermountain Health. “We always strive for a workplace which makes caregivers feel included and appreciated because we know they will better serve the patients in our community.”
During the selection process, Becker’s took into consideration each health system’s emphasis on giving back to communities and providing volunteer opportunities.
The publication also praised Intermountain Health’s programs and initiatives contributing to a strong culture of diversity. They noted the recent success of the health system in hiring more women and people of color.
“This is all done in an effort to better serve patients of all communities,” said Brace.
Intermountain Health currently operates 33 hospitals and 385 clinics across seven states throughout the Intermountain West.
