Military Affairs Committee

The Salt Lake Chamber Military Affairs Committee focuses on building relationships between military installation units and businesses by increasing awareness through monthly briefings and tours.

This committee began in 1999.  It was started because it was recognized that the Top Of Utah MAC usually provided support to the Active duty units at Hill AFB, but no one was really assisting the Reserve and Guard units located in Salt Lake City area.

The main focus of the SLC MAC is to provide support to the following organizations:

  • Utah Army National Guard (UTARNG)
  • Utah Air National Guard (UTANG)
  • United States Marines (USMCR)
  • United States Navy Reserve (USNR)
  • United States Army Reserve (USAR)
  • United States Air Force Reserve (USAFR)
  • Hill Air Force Base
  • US Army Recruiters
  • Dugway
  • Tooele Army Depot
  • Association of the United States Army
  • Small Business Administration
  • Veteran’s Business Resource Center
  • Utah Department of Veterans & Military Affairs
  • Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve
  • Utah Veteran & Military Employment Coalition / Utah Department of Workforce Services
  • American Red Cross
  • BlueStar Families
  • Congressional Delegation

The Military Affairs Committee is an open committee.  It is not a dues paying committee but Chamber membership is required.  Fees may be charged for events as they occur.
