Ogden-based company supports recovery efforts for Hurricane Helene, Milton and local disasters, providing warmth and essential resources to affected communities.
The American Red Cross of Utah announced today that Ogden-based Minky Couture is donating 6,000 blankets to support those affected by Hurricane Helene. Minky Couture has partnered with the Red Cross to set up a donation site, allowing people nationwide to contribute to disaster relief efforts. “The plush Minky Couture blankets will provide warmth and comfort to people recovering from the devastation caused Hurricane Helene,” said Michael Smauldon, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Northern Utah & Southwest Wyoming Chapter. “Their generous financial donation will help us offer shelter, food and health services to those recovering from Hurricane Helene, Milton and local disasters here in Utah.”
Red Cross Efforts Across the Southeast
As Floridians contend with the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, the Red Cross is actively working in the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee to deliver shelter, food, water, relief supplies and comfort to those impacted by the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Helene. The Red Cross of Utah has deployed 20 trained disaster relief volunteers to assist those affected by these destructive storms.
