Utah’s largest, free gathering to ring in 2024 will be hosted once again by The Gateway in Salt Lake City on Sunday, December 31, 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. Last Hurrah 2023! welcomes the public of all ages to this festive event enhanced by vibrant holiday installations. The celebration is set to feature buskers, pop-up bars, and live performances by co-headliners Blindlove and Cardinal Bloom, two Utah-based alternative rock bands. Catch their performances on the outdoor stage at Olympic Plaza. Revelers can enjoy hot chocolate, draft beer, and hot cocktails that will be served from the pop-up bars. Cardinal Bloom will lead into the countdown to the New Year. The festivities culminate with a mesmerizing firework display to light up downtown.

“This stellar, Last Hurrah 2023! program promises to provide a fun, high-energy way to welcome 2024,” says Julissa Breslin, The Gateway’s Marketing Director. “Coming on the heels of the exciting announcement that Salt Lake City is the preferred host city of the 2034 Olympics makes celebrating the New Year at Olympic Legacy Plaza extra special this year.”
