President’s Message: A Season for Growth and Connection

Spring has arrived, bringing with it a season of renewal, growth and fresh opportunities. As the changing season brings new beginnings in nature, it also brought the end of Utah’s legislative session. Looking forward, this is an ideal time to explore new ways to grow professionally, strengthen your business and deepen your engagement with the business community. At the Salt Lake Chamber, we are committed to providing resources and opportunities that help businesses and individuals flourish, and there’s no better time than now to get involved.

One of the best ways to connect and grow this season is by engaging with the Chamber’s events and programs. From networking gatherings to industry roundtables, we offer a variety of events that foster connections and meaningful discussions on the most pressing business issues of the day. Whether you want to expand your network, gain insights from industry leaders or elevate Utah’s business community, there’s an event for you.

Beyond events, another way to engage in shaping Utah’s business landscape is by joining one of the Chamber’s public policy committees. These specialized groups focus on key sectors — such as health care, transportation, economic development and education — and provide informed recommendations that influence legislative decisions and promote a pro-business climate in Utah. Your expertise can be part of the conversations that shape policies affecting businesses across the state. Your voice matters, and through collaborative advocacy, we can work together to ensure that Utah remains a top destination for business growth, innovation, and opportunity. If you’re interested in joining a public policy committee, contact us at policy@slchamber.com.

Another exciting way to engage with the Salt Lake Chamber is through the Utah Rising initiative. Utah Rising is a free enterprise vision for Utah’s economy, designed to help Utah become and remain the top-performing economy in the nation. As Utah prepares for our next 10 years of growth and to host the 2034 Olympic Games, there is much work to be done. The public and private sectors have come together to identify areas that will be key catalysts for Utah’s growth. This spring, a great way to get involved with the Chamber is to identify how your industry expertise and your business can play a role in supporting Utah Rising and our vision for Utah’s future.

Spring is a time to embrace growth, and at the Chamber, we believe that growth happens best when we work together. Whether you’re a long-standing member or new to the Chamber, I encourage you to take full advantage of the opportunities available. Your involvement strengthens not only your business but also the broader Utah economy.

I invite you to take that next step — attend an event, join a committee or participate in a Chamber initiative like Utah Rising. Let’s make this season and year one of connection, growth and shared success.
