Salt Lake Chamber Announces Clyde Companies’ President & CEO Jeremy Hafen as 2025-2026 Board Chair

The Salt Lake Chamber, Utah’s largest and longest-serving business association, has named Jeremy Hafen, president and CEO of Clyde Companies, Inc., as the new chair of its Board of Governors. Hafen most recently served as the Chamber’s vice chair alongside outgoing Board Chair Nathan Callister, executive vice president and executive director commercial banking of Zions Bank.

His thoughtful leadership and commitment to building better communities will be instrumental as we tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

Hafen is the president and CEO of Clyde Companies, Inc., a multi-billion-dollar construction materials and services company based in Utah and operating in the Intermountain West and Great Plains regions. He joined Clyde Companies in 2004 as a Business Development Manager and rose through the ranks, serving as Vice President of Administration, as well as leading Sunroc Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Clyde Companies, and Sunroc Building Materials (now known as Sunpro), a sister company to Sunroc Corporation. Before joining Clyde Companies, Hafen was a Senior Tax Consultant at Deloitte in Dallas, Texas. He also serves on several civic and education boards, reflecting his deep investment in Utah’s future.

Hafen will take over as the Chamber’s Board Chair on July 1, 2025. The Chamber’s incoming board vice chair is Erin Laney Barr, Managing Director and Market Leader for CBRE’s Salt Lake City office. 

Jeremy Hafen Bio:

Jeremy Hafen is the President and CEO of Clyde Companies, Inc., a multi-billion-dollar construction materials and services company based in Utah and operating in the Intermountain West & Great Plains regions. Prior to his move to Clyde Companies in April of 2019, he served as President of Sunroc Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Clyde Companies. Before that, he served as President of Sunroc Building Materials (now known as Sunpro), a sister company to Sunroc Corporation. In his seven plus years as president, Sunroc Building Materials more than doubled its revenue and became a top performing subsidiary of Clyde Companies, Inc. He began his career with Clyde Companies in the fall of 2004 as a Business Development Manager and worked his way up to Vice President of Administration at Clyde Companies, Inc.

Prior to Clyde Companies, Jeremy spent several years with Deloitte in Dallas, Texas as a Senior Tax Consultant. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master of Accountancy degree in tax accompanied by a Minor in Information Systems Management. He also holds an emeritus CPA license in the State of Utah. 

Jeremy previously served as the Chair of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce and is currently the Vice Chair of the board of directors of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. He was recently appointed as a director of the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for MTECH and serves on the Board of Trustees for Utah Valley University, is an Advisory Board member of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute and the Tuacahn Advisory Board, and a BYU Marriott National Advisory Council member. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Clyde Companies, Inc. Most of his personal time is spent with his wife and seven children.

Erin Laney Barr Bio:

Erin Laney Barr is Managing Director and Market Leader for CBRE’s Salt Lake City office. In this role, Erin oversees business operations and drives the overall growth strategy for all Advisory Services lines of business, including leasing, sales, valuations, debt & structured finance, project management, and property management.

Erin joined CBRE in January 2022 with a diverse background spanning real estate law, economic development and business attraction, and real estate development. As a real estate attorney for over six years in Southern California, she represented financial institutions, including the Big Four, in legal proceedings related to real property holdings. Thereafter, she transitioned from law to a role with the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, where she ultimately served as Vice President of Business Development. While there, she helped the state attract and retain high-value companies and assisted with site selection and acquisition.

Before being appointed Market Leader, Erin served as a Transaction Manager at CBRE, facilitating deals for national and global occupier clients, including charitable organizations and companies in the social, utilities, energy, and retail sectors.

Erin’s strong reputation, deep community and industry relationships, and breadth of professional experience enable CBRE’s Salt Lake City office to drive exceptional results for its clients.
