Salt Lake Chamber Celebrates 137 Years of  Business Leadership at 2024 Annual Meeting  

Today, the Salt Lake Chamber hosted its 137th Annual Meeting, celebrating another year of growth, collaboration and commitment to a strong and successful Utah. The event recognized key achievements, releasing its 2023-2024 Annual Report, and honored business and community leaders who exemplify dedication to the Chamber’s mission of promoting opportunity and prosperity in Utah.

Celebrating Milestones

The Chamber’s 2023-2024 Annual Report highlights several initiatives that have shaped Utah’s economy over the past year, including:

  • The launch of Utah Rising: A Free Enterprise Vision for Utah’s Economy, a bold vision for sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity. This vision unites the business community in strategically addressing key issues like workforce development, housing and innovation, ensuring a thriving future for all.
  • The introduction of the Fair Chance Hiring Guide, providing employers with resources to remove barriers for individuals formerly involved with the justice system and foster inclusive hiring practices.
  • The solidification of the Diverse-Owned Business Accelerator, which helps small business owners refine their strategies, bolster their revenue streams and create a roadmap for success.
  • The Government Affairs Boot Camp, a program designed to equip new and experienced professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively advocate for business interests at the state and local levels.
  • A 90% success rate for Chamber-prioritized legislation during the 2024 Utah Legislative Session, emphasizing the Chamber’s influence in advancing key policies that promote a thriving Utah.

The Salt Chamber also celebrated those who have made significant contributions to Utah’s business landscape. Honorees include:

  • President’s Award in Excellence: KSL.COM, recognized for its unwavering role in connecting communities and fostering trust in local news.
  • Legacy Award: Jacobsen Construction Company, celebrated for its century-long history of shaping Utah’s skyline and economy.
  • Fortitude Award: Delta Air Lines, acknowledged as Utah’s leading global airline and major contributor to the state’s transportation infrastructure.
  • Beehive Award: Sunroc, honored for its community-building efforts through volunteerism and quality construction services.
  • Opportunity Award: Alpha Coffee, a veteran and woman-owned small business known for its exceptional products and commitment to the community.
  • Icon Award: Blendyd Studios, a woman-owned business revolutionizing talent acquisition in the trucking industry.
  • Trailblazer Award: Rep. Tyler Clancy (Utah State House of Representatives, District 60) and Madison Keyser Williams (Utah Paperbox), recognized as rising stars in Utah’s business community.
  • Chamber Champions: Lucy Knight Andre (Stadler US), Dori Clark (Lagoon Corporation), TJ England (CR England-Global Transportation), Kimberly Flores (fulFILLed Lifestyle Co.), Kamea Johnson (Chosen Creative) and Lee Weech (Executech) were recognized for their exceptional volunteer efforts that have advanced the Chamber’s mission.
