This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City brings people together through retail, dining, concerts, arts, community events and entertainment by creating a lively space all year-round for locals and visitors. Marketing Director, Julissa Breslin, joins us with more.
Julissa Breslin:
Since Vestar acquired The Gateway, more than 100 million dollars has been invested into transforming the property into one of downtown Salt Lake City’s premier lifestyle destinations. Today, The Gateway is a vibrant hub for dining, entertainment, retail, arts, culture and innovation, featuring concepts like HallPass, Lupessa, Flanker, Museum of Illusions and Kiln coworking space.
The Gateway also hosts more than 150 events and cultural celebrations annually, including Juneteenth, Festa Italiana and downtown Salt Lake City’s official Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve celebrations. The Fourth of July event is a free, family-friendly tradition featuring live music, karaoke, entertainment, food, drinks, activities for all ages and of course fireworks.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy nationally touring comedians at Wiseguys Comedy, hands-on exhibits at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, and immersive experiences at Clark Planetarium. The Gateway continues to evolve, remaining one of Utah’s most dynamic urban destinations.
Derek Miller:
By serving as a gathering place for people visiting and living in Utah, The Gateway helps support the state’s economy and strengthens Utah’s reputation as a top destination. To learn more, visit atthegateway.com. I’m Derek Miller, with the Salt Lake Chamber, Speaking on Business.
