Speaking on Business: Westminster College

This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business. Education is vital to Utah’s economic future and a key part of that success is Westminster College, which Princeton Review calls one of the best in the nation. Tamara Stevenson, Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, is here to share their story.

TAMARA STEVENSON

Westminster College is an amazing place with more than 50 undergraduate areas of study and 13 graduate programs in five academic schools — from business, nursing, and public health — to education, the sciences, arts, and humanities. A key to that success is our commitment to a welcoming and inclusive learning and working environment.

Westminster’s students, faculty and staff collaborate to cultivate a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and global responsibility while promoting respect for differences.

Westminster College practices inclusive excellence in our curriculum and programs. We connect to our power of place as an institution of higher learning – a place anchored in leadership, equity, and wellness. We are proud to be an integral part of the fabric of Utah, where our diversity makes us stronger.

DEREK MILLER

A large part of Utah’s recent growth has come from racial and ethnic minority populations that now constitute 22 percent of Utah’s population. Ensuring they feel welcome and wanted in higher education is vital to their success and our future. I’m Derek Miller with the Salt Lake Chamber, Speaking on Business.
