This free, entertainment-packed event will be open to the public on New Year’s Eve, from 8 p.m. to Midnight.
The official downtown Salt Lake City New Year’s Eve community celebration returns to The Gateway to ring in 2025 on Tuesday, December 31, 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. Last Hurrah 2024! Presented in partnership with Downtown Alliance, welcomes guests of all ages to this free and festive event. Featuring buskers, pop-up bars, and live performances by Juniper Honey and headliner Indigo Waves on the Olympic Plaza stage, Utah’s largest countdown to the New Year is not to be missed. Draft beer, wine, hot cocktails, and hot chocolate will be served in the main plaza.
Gateway merchants will also be open late during the event serving up food, drinks, and good times.
The evening culminates with a countdown to Downtown Salt Lake City’s only New Year’s Eve fireworks show that will ring in the New Year at midnight.
“Last Hurrah draws the biggest crowd of the year to The Gateway, and we are delighted to invite the community to ring in the New Year with an unforgettable outdoor celebration,” says Julissa Breslin, The Gateway’s Marketing Director. “The event is all about coming together to kick off 2025 with joy, connection, and excitement as only Salt Lake City can.”

Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club: 5 p.m. – 1 a.m.
