Utah Valley University Center for Constitutional Studies Launches Master’s Program in Constitutional Government, Civics & Law

The Utah Valley University (UVU) Center for Constitutional Studies (CCS) announced today the launch of a master’s program in constitutional government, civics & law (MACGCL). Dr. Troy E. Smith, professor of political science at Brigham Young University–Hawaii and an expert on federalism, has been named program director.

Utah DHHS Uses Federal Funding to Enhance Red Cross Lifesaving Platelet Production and Storage Capabilities

The Red Cross Salt Lake laboratory is 1 of 3 Red Cross locations in the country piloting the cold-store platelet program. Governor Spencer Cox and the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) have significantly enhanced the American Red Cross of Utah’s capacity to provide essential platelets, crucial for major surgeries and cancer treatment, with an extended shelf life ensuring hospitals' ongoing supply.

Red Iguana Launches New Website

Red Iguana, Utah’s “most awarded Mexican restaurant”,  has launched a new website at www.rediguana.com. The site includes photos and videos of Red Iguana classic dishes, such as their signature moles, as well as images of the famed establishment going back to when it was started by the Cardenas family in 1985.

Utah Valley University Appoints New Associate Vice President of Commercialization

Cameron Archibald, a faculty member in the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University (UVU), was hired as the university’s new associate vice president of commercial and auxiliary services on June 10. His focus will be to diversify the university’s revenue sources.
